Tablet setup - always on mode
Please ensure your tablet is on ‘always on’ mode so the screen remains on even if the tablet is not being actively used. This is required to ensure that you hear a sound when an order comes through. This can usually be accessed via the tablet settings.
Android instructions: Note that the below may differ based on the device you have.
Option 1: Open Settings and tap Display > Sleep (or Settings > Display > Screen timeout, Never Sleep).
Option 2: Settings page navigate to > About Tablet > Software Information. Then tap the "Build Number" 7 times to enable developer mode. Developers mode is where you'll find the Stay Awake option, toggle to enable.
IOS Instructions
Go to Settings > Display & Brightness. Tap on Auto-Lock. Tap on Never.

Here you can add any type of service you would like to your EMenu, for example: Delivery, collection, room service and table service
How to customise your service type
Once you have chosen what you would like to offer as a service you might want to customise after payment notes to consumers, tipping, enable virtual tabs and so on.
To do so click the edit button on the your service type
This page will then pop up:
Make sure under General setting that it is enabled and public
To the left you can customise minimum order
Underneath “Ordering & Checkout” you can allow customers to start tabs
Make sure the payment required before order proceeds is also switched on for all 3
If you scroll down you will find messages and tipping, for messages you can customise different messages for customers to receive at different parts of the customer journey, so if you would like to add for example a note about waiting times this would be great to put in the basket:
Custom tipping is just below the above image, make sure to switch this on to let your client choose their tips for you, we will always have a default 10% as well to encourage more tips- you can also change this. Click update service when done.
